Our goal is to promote and live a sustainable life. With the natural beauty surrounding us here in Namaqualand, the motivation to do so is present daily.
The property is entirely run on solar and wind energy and features its own borehole for water. We maintain the ‘oasis in the desert’ that Oupa John created and continue to grow some of our products used in the kitchen for the meals catered.
Our goal is to continue to find ways in which we can live and encourage others to live more sustainable life. We are just getting started.
Our guesthouse has solar panels on the roof, providing solar energy and harvesting the Karoo sun's rays.

Some of our cooking for the meals prepared at the Cottage, happens outside. Bread is baked in an outside oven, stews are cooked in the Poitjiekos Pot and day visitors often use our Braai facilities.
We also harness the power from wind energy, contributing to our property being completely off the grid.
